Nantseren is a small-scale, low impact, environmentally friendly glamping site. Sustainability and protecting the environment for future generations is central to our values, so we can enjoy this fragile and unique landscape in ways which encourage conservation and minimize ecological footprints.
Our glamping meadow is off-grid, and carefully managed with a landscape and ecological enhancement programme. This includes planting a traditional orchard, establishing native wildflowers, planting native trees and shrubs and managing hedgerows to create wildlife environments, increase biodiversity and encourage pollinators.
During winter months the tents and accessories are stored away, leaving no footprint or legacy on the meadow.
We use a green energy tariff, and logs sustainably sourced from the farm, with supplies generated as a byproduct of hedge laying and coppicing.
Sustainably sourced and recycled materials have been used where possible in the renovation and interior of the barn. Quality, fresh produce and toiletries are locally sourced, and cleaning products are eco-friendly and biodegradable. Programmes are in place for waste recycling - from plastics through to reusing waste water, and ash from the fires.
We are undertaking an increasing number of conservation and environmentally friendly projects on the farm, such as planting and managing hedgerows for wildlife and pollinators, pond restoration and protecting and monitoring wildlife.
